About Edith Alig Gagné
Edith has made a conscious choice to use her body as an instrument to be of
service to help heal human suffering. In 2003, after the death of her parents, Edith became a
Hospice Northwest volunteer and has since been advocating for better end of life care for
her clients. She was awarded the Exceptional Achievement Award for Distinguished
Contribution to the community of Thunder Bay.
Edith has an HBA in Psychology and Gerontology, a certificate in Interdisciplinary
Palliative Care, and training in Dementia from Lakehead University. She is a Chopra Center Certified
Instructor in both Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Primordial Sound Meditation, with training
received by the teachings of Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon in California.
Edith now guides meditation and mindfulness sessions for women incarcerated at the
Thunder Bay Correctional Center through the Elizabeth Fry Society of Northwestern
Ontario. She believes meditation expands consciousness and alleviates our own suffering.
Edith also offers care as a therapeutic touch practitioner and is on the CERAH planning
committee for palliative care at Lakehead University.
She is a global goodwill ambassador who brings awareness to underprivileged street children in the slums of India and the aged homeless.
A mission bringing "Peace" on earth by Meditation in support of www.parampranyog.org Love.Life.Humanity.
Edith continues to do inner work on herself. At present Edith is connecting worldwide with like-minded individuals who have come together with Eckhart Tolle and Kim Eng to raise collective consciousness. She is an ambassador of The Eckhart Tolle Foundation.
