About Edith Alig Gagné
In addition to beginning the journey in 2003 of becoming a hospice palliative care volunteer, Edith Alig Gagné is a Chopra Global Certified Instructor in both Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Primordial Sound Meditation, with training received by the teachings of Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon in California. Edith guides meditation and mindfulness sessions for incarcerated women in correctional facilities, patients, clients, and caregivers in hospital settings, and various for profit and non-profit organizations.
Edith has an HBA in Psychology and Gerontology, a certificate in Interdisciplinary Palliative Care, and training in Dementia.
She was awarded the Exceptional Achievement Award for Distinguished Contribution to the community of Thunder Bay.
Edith also offers care as a therapeutic touch practitioner and is on the CERAH planning
committee for palliative care at Lakehead University.
